7:15 PM After many hours of Mommy's hard work and Daddy's vigilant help, baby Nicholas has still decided that inside mom is the best place to be. Baby will have the first early lesson in life...that Mommy knows best (and Daddy agrees). Tiffany has made the decision to have a C Section.
After many hours of being dilated to 10cm and active labor, the baby continues to be in the same position, which is not coming out. They talked with the doctor and were assured that Tiffany would be awake and Jason would be by her head. He will have skin to skin contact with baby and together they would have contact with her. Jason is scrubbing up and gowning at this time, and Tiffany has had the additional anesthetic administered in her epideral. They are headed for surgery and will soon have their little one in hand. Thanks for all your prayers and encouragement.

I am praying for all of you. I know what a difficult choice this must have been, but there comes a time when a c-section is the right choice. I know exactly what it's like to have a well-thought out, intervention-free birth plan, and to have it all fall apart. God knows best and He will see you through this. The reward at the end will make it all worth it! I am so proud of you for all you have been through and for making the decisions that will be best for your family. Every intervention has its place and time.

ReplyDeleteWay to go guys! This was my story with Taylor, minus the midwife. I am sure it is all better now. So sorry Tiffany for all the work you went through, but, now that the baby is in hand, it was all worth it. We are eagerly awaiting the name!!:)
