So, what have we been up to, you ask?

Well, where can I even begin? The entryway project has been moving along slowly but surely. The drywalling seemed to hold us up and take several weeks. We learned a lot...one of those lessons being that although we are content and proud to take on most projects ourselves, drywalling is one thing that we'll have done for us for our next project! It takes SO much time and effort and it just isn't worth it when it's not too expensive to have it done for us. Once we did finally finish all the drywall, we were able to get some paint up on the walls and fulfill our dream of having a fully functioning bathroom on the main level. I must say, I am SOOOO greatful to have a working sink and toilet on the main floor especially now that I am in my third trimester and seem to have to "go" all the time. We still have some finishing trim to do and some pictures to hang on the walls, but for all respects and purposes, this bathroom functions as it must for the time being! Here is a walk-through video of the messes we've made as well as the progress we've made in the bathroom.

We took on another project today in the nursery. It's been hard juggling the entryway remodeling project while trying to get the nursery ready for the baby. Today we made a huge stride toward putting the finishing touches on our little one's room...and this project didn't even cost any money! That's nice for once! Jason and I started this mural at around 10:30 this morning and worked straight through the day finishing at around 7:30 this evening. I must say, it turned out great and is exactly the personal touch I wanted in the nursery. The only thing we're still waiting on is for our crib to come in...it's been ordered and will arrive in the next few weeks! Here are a bunch of pictures of the nursery:
This is the corner where I'm sure to be spending lots of time nursing our baby...cute, right?
I can't even fit the whole mural into one picture. This mostly covers it except the possums get left out on the far left corner. The pile where all the baby stuff is on the right is where the crib will go once it arrives.
Jason free-handed all of our little forest creatures while I worked dilligently on the grunt work of painting in the tons of leaves on the tree. We worked as a great team!

What fun memories we made today. Hopfeully our little baby will one day enjoy seeing this big tree as much as we enjoyed creating it!
