Eli's First Fishing Trip

I missed fishing opener the first weekend in March because it was still too cold to take Eli outside for long, so I was itching to cast my rod for the first time this year.  Well, with the 40's and 50's we've had lately, the weather finally warmed up enough for us to start taking Eli outside to enjoy the beauty of nature.  Because the snow has been melting so quickly, we weren't sure what kind of shape the river would be in, but we headed down to check it out anyway.  Here are a few pictures of our first fishing trip as a family of three:
Getting creative changing diapers in the back of the car!
Wrapped up snug and tight in the Moby wrap with Daddy!  Eli fell asleep :)
So this is what freedom feels like!  Jason was graciuos enough to hold Eli the whole time and let me fish fancy free.  I didn't catch anything, but it was so liberating to feel a sense of normalcy again if only for a couple of hours.  This trip was a reminder that I CAN still do some of the things I love...the things that make me me even if I am a mommy!
Daddy got to try his hand at fishing with a baby strapped to him!  What a beautiful day!

  1. Baby slings and Moby wraps surely free your hands to get on with your work.
