1 month old!

My oh my, how the time flies!  I can't believe it has already been one month since our stubborn little boy came kicking and screaming into this world!  He's changed so much in such a short time.  His face has changed do much; sometimes I look at him and see a little boy instead of an infant.  He can often be seen with such serious looks of concern and frustration on his face, so lately Jason and I have been delighted to see the glimmer of an impending smile in his eyes and on his face.  This is the closest we've come to capturing it:

It's looks like this that make all of the poopy diaper changes, late nights, and fussy tantrums worth it!

Lately, we've been getting into more of a routine.  We've found this routine especially helpful at bedtime because we want to ensure that whatever magic trick we've found that's keeping Eli sleeping through the night stays that way.  A bath at bedtime is Eli's favorite part of this routine.  He just LOVES the water!

The only time he cries at bathtime is when we take him out of his tub.  That's when he wails at the top of his lungs until I bring him upstairs to nurse him and put him to bed.

Eli also loves laying on the floor in his room for tummy time and playing with Mommy and Daddy.

He's been such an amazing addition to our lives; every day we are in awe at how much he's changed.  What an exciting adventure this first month has been :)
