Pitocin...to the rescue!

Well, we've weighed our options yet again...

For a little while there we thought that the epidural was not doing what it was supposed to. Tiff would lay on her left side, then switch to her right side, then switch back again. In and out, the pain would come on her right side (total success on the left side this whole time). After some discussion, we decided to have the anesthesiologist (sp?) re-set the epidural in an attempt to find a more successful and copacetic place. While we were prepping for the Dr. arrival, Tiff was laying on her back. A few minutes went by and she began to ask if she was having any contractions? Of course, we said "Yes!" immediately. Apparently, laying on her back in a slightly upright position was enough to get the medicine flowing to where it needed to be and she is back to experiencing nearly complete relief. With this news, we have decided to jump on the opportunity and start a bit of pitocin in an attempt to encourage dialation through to 10 cm. Hopefully in a little while, we'll have some good news about being fully dialated and getting ready to push.

Did I mention, we are tired...I think I've slept 2 hours in the last 40. Owell, I'll sleep when I'm dead...or maybe after the baby comes.
